In-Person Therapy in Downtown Whitby, Ontario

Hello!

I’m so glad you’re here.

I'm Carrie-Lynn, a somatic psychotherapist and the heart behind Reacquainted Wellness. I support clients across Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

I believe therapy should be a soft landing — a space where you’re met with curiosity, compassion, and safety.

If you’re here, you might be exhausted — not just in your mind, but in your body.
You’ve named the patterns, yet everyday moments still trigger intense reactions, making it hard to stay grounded.

Maybe you’re holding it together for everyone else — silently carrying the quiet ache of pushing through.
You fear that if you let yourself feel what’s beneath the surface, it might never stop.

This is where we begin.

I help high-functioning, self-aware women (and their partners) move beyond talking about their pain. Through somatic therapy, we explore the emotions, sensations, and trauma held in your body — building your capacity to stay with discomfort long enough for clarity, relief, and lasting change.

My work is rooted in the belief that no one should carry the hard things alone.

You deserve support that helps you feel connected, not just functional, and it IS possible. Book a free 15-minute consultation today.

Nervous system therapy in Ontario and BC through somatic practice.

Somatic therapy is an integrative, body-based approach to healing trauma, anxiety, and nervous system dysregulation.

Somatic therapy focuses on what’s happening in your body — not just your thoughts.

It helps you notice, feel, and respond to your internal experience with more safety, clarity, and choice.

When we’ve lived through chronic stress, trauma, or emotional overwhelm, our nervous systems adapt.

We might get stuck in survival states like anxiety, fawning, shutdown, tension, people-pleasing, or emotional numbness — even long after the original stress is gone.

Somatic therapy supports healing by slowing down and tuning in to the body’s signals, patterns, and protective responses. This isn’t about coping harder or thinking differently — it’s about gently building the capacity to feel, without becoming overwhelmed. If this resonates with you and you are feeling called to connect, we can get started with a 60-minute initial session.

What Is Somatic Therapy?

Who I Help:

Somatic Therapy For Anxiety, Overwhelm and Trauma

As a somatic therapist, I support high-functioning, emotionally aware adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted. You might look like you’re managing from the outside, but inside you’re carrying more than you can name.

I specialize in working with:

  • Folks healing from childhood trauma

  • Chronic stress, anxiety, overwhelm and chronic tension in the body

  • Postpartum anxiety, depression, or identity loss after becoming a parent

  • Trauma from past relationships or intimate partner issues

  • Burnout from high-stress careers, work-life balance, mental load and emotional labour

  • People who feel disconnected from their bodies, relationships or sense of purpose

  • Grief, loss and major life events/changes

  • Difficulty managing emotions or emotional triggers

  • Those recovering from high-functioning anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or those stuck in fight/flight/fawn responses

  • Clients struggling with health challenges like chronic illness, perimenopause, etc.

If this resonates, you're not alone — and you're not broken. Your body is communicating what your mind has tried to make sense of on its own. Let’s chat about how somatic therapy can support you.
